I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1965. My husband and I moved to Arizona in 1967. Lainie has a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from Harvard Law. Steve graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; he has a BA in Sports Management and a Masters in Education.

From 1978 - 1986 I was a member of Governor Bruce Babbitt’s executive staff. I served as the: Governor’s Advisor on Women’s Policies; Director of the Office of Constituent Services; and administered the State’s Intern Program. In 1984, President Reagan appointed me to the 50 States Project, a Presidential Task Force.

In 1987, I joined the Babbitt for President Campaign as its National Issues Coordinator. Shortly after he dropped out of the primary race, I co-founded Impact Associates. We specialize in strategic planning and policy development. Retirement resistant and coming full circle from my first position at McGraw Hill, I am a Developmental Editor (help authors structure, revise and edit manuscripts) for several publishers.

Interests: The arts; black and white photography; tennis and travel. Favorite trips include: Easter Island; Machu Pichu; Mandalay; the Galapagos; Giza; Agra and Iguassu Falls. We spent January 2012 in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Trips on the horizon include: Cuba in May; Papua New Guinea and New Zealand in the fall. I'm currently looking at travel adventures for 2013; specifically Bhutan and Mongolia. I'd love to hear about your experiences/suggestions about "not to miss" places.
