From Joyce Romer.   John gave me the prettiest pearl on a gold chain for my 16th birthday. I still have it and wear it often. We were sweethearts throughout high school and college.

We both attended Indiana colleges, Hanover for me and Wabash for John, so distance was not a problem. After we went our separate ways,we continued our communications with calls, letters, cards and emails.

Dr. John Labavitch ( a bio plant chemist) not only taught at Davis in California but did research for the University. John had a great sense of humor and many times would say with a smile “ Yes, I work in the fruit and nut department”.

I’m sure the angels will enjoy his jokes and unique guips. John enriched my life. I will miss his friendship.

Good to hear from you.....FINALLY! ????. My memory isn’t as sharp at age 76 but I think the last contact was our 50th Reunion and then you disappeared!

All is well here in the Ocala National Forest this winter. Ed and I have a great garden in
progress....lettuces, spinach, chard, onions, and radishes.
We also have one rooster and eight hens....tasty FRESH eggs.????
Health wise I guess I’m lucky to only be dealing with arthritis and osteoporosis.
I walk with a group here on our street called THE WOODSY WALKERS.
Yes, I still do my New Years cards....but this year is my last homemade one.
Not hearing from you for sooooo long.....I dropped your address off my list.
I’m glad you and Ken are OK and hope to hear from you again soon.

Hello Classmates on 2-16-18 says Joyce Romer down in the Ocala National Forest...her winter home.
I had no idea all of this chatter went on with our website...where have I been?
I beat all of you with reaching 75....this happened last August 2017...so I will wish
EVERYONE in our class a BIG Happy Birthday and 75 more!
Does anyone hear from Bonnie Raitt McMillan and her hubby, Ken? I wish I knew how she was doing and miss not hearing from her. :-(

I remember Jim as being very quiet and proper. Wasn't Jim's mother a teacher at Woodward? I think Jim started out at Hanover but did not graduate from Hanover. (?) I graduated from Hanover in 1965 and don't remember him in my class.
