Comments:

I graduated from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing and then went to Children's Hospital until marriage in 1965 and moved to Middletown, then shortly to Butler, Pa. Within two years we were transferred to Houston and have been here since 1967. Bob is a CPA and is sort of retired. We live in a 55-plus community on a lake. Our daughter and family live nearby and the little girls come over frequently to our delight. I have recently started watercolor painting, am very involved in event planning at our lodge and do enjoy gardening. We love to travel but the current situation concerns us.

School Story:

I was a polliwog for three years and loved swimming.

I'm so very sorry to learn of David's death. I knew him at Pleasant Ridge through high school. He as an honorable person. My sympathy goes to your family.

It would be nice to read the profile of a diseased classmate before it is removed upon his death.

Hi Connie. I don't think the schools give the students the day off for opening day but many schools in Cincinnati are on spring break. I loved baseball in the 70's with Marty and Joe on the radio. The two world series they won in 75 and 76 were really exciting. I pretty much lost interest tho in 94 when the strike stopped the season in August.

On politics I was really disappointed when Trump did not veto that terrible spending bill but it does show how much he cares about the safety of the country. And now I hear he may get the last laugh over crying Chuck and crumbs Pelosi as he may be able to call a national emergency bc of all the drugs etc coming from Mexico and use the money he needs for the wall from the 700 billion that was advocated to the military! :) Hope all is well with you and your family and Happy Easter.

Hi Barry, today is Astros opening day and I wondered about the Reds. Do schools still give kids the day off on opening day? I don't watch but sure was happy when our team won.everybody went crazy buying shirts and hats. The parade was a madhouse, people in long lines to get on the train to get there, which they did not. Tv worked for us.

Connie, I always watch all three on Saturday night as well. Waters, Judge, and Greg Gutfield. If u have never seen Greg u ought to try him as he is very clever and sarcastic which I love. Judge reminds me of Rush--they both have a lot of good things to say but really come across as tho they r the king and queen of politics in my opinion. However, I will continue listening to them. Yes, Golf Manor has really changed. Glad u enjoyed ur outing. Take care.

Connie, Hopefully you will not see this comment three times as I have tried to post it twice so here goes again. Fox is the only channel I watch and I watch all of the evening shows. Yes, this is about the only way to know all the great things he is accomplishing. I am very happy as well that he won!! I hope you have a nice weekend.

Connie, I think the store was on the Woodward end but more in the Reading Road/Seymour corner. I am a new comer to politics and have only followed the last couple of years. Trump says a lot of things that would be better not said but I think he really does want to make things better and has done many things already along these lines. However, most of the media and the tv stations pretty much ignore these things so a lot of the public are not aware of them. To me what counts is what he does --not what he says.

Connie, I am pretty sure it was Murphys as I worked there my senior year emptying waste cans, sweeping up etc. I think the actual name was GC Muphys. As for the Trump thing politics are pretty annoying now to say the least regardless of which side a person supports .It is too bad they cannot just work things out instead of seeming to care more about their jobs and their party.

Looked up Swifton apartments and found out it is the largest complex in Cincinnati but is vacant now and is it in shambles? There was a discrimination suit and Trump, or his father , lost the suit. Goes by a different name now. Sometimes I cut through it to walk home from WHS but my parents nixed that.

I think my response to you was lost, will try to recreate.... If Murphys was the dime store across from a cafeteria, I remember buying Evening in Paris perfume there, can still see it in the display counter. And the photo booth that Janet Lollar and I sat in. Pizza joint downstairs, dept store at other end. It's name? The memory bank is starting withdrawals! Nice hearing from you.

2-5-18 just now watching President Trump in Blue Ash and wondering if any of you are there. He mentioned he worked at Swifton Village. Holy cow! I wonder where, the dime store or dept store, can't remember it's name.
